An often overlooked requirement of workshops and office is the need to have electrical appliances and leads tested, tagged and the results recorded against the companies assett register. The requirements in NSW vary for different work situations, and the harsher the environment the more frequent testing should be. Devices in clean office environments that aren't moved may only require testing every 5 years but harsh out-door, workshop or forestry sites may require testing every 3, 6 or 9 months. Conceivably, if your environment is very hard on leads and appliances even more frequent testing may be required
