Website Content Maintenance

Unfortunately website maintenance is sadly neglected, typically businesses make a big initial invest and are often told that their new website will bring them vast sums of money. Naturally enough, when the new or measurable revenue from their website fails to materialise interest is quickly lost in keeping the website updated. Especially when each update requires you to spend hours of your time and hundreds of dollars using a "web specialist" to "perform the update" for you.

Our philosophy is very different - first of all we believe that if you need to change the content of a page it shouldn't take more than 5 to 10 minutes to have the content on a web page updated. Not only that if every thing is in order you should only be charged for that time - think about that - how much did your website cost?

How can we do this? Well the simple reality of 90% of the websites is that they are simple text documents; therefore if you have the new text and access details for the website its should only take us 5-10 minutes to copy the text, access the website, insert the new text and place it back on the website.

Another aspect of website maintenance is the production of content - ie. news - something to make your clients come back and check the website, something to make the search engines come back and re-index your website. Often it is never mentioned, but, to maintain a ranking or position on a web search engine you need to keep your site fresh.

ABHV2005Sites that aren't "fresh" get reduced in importance and the number of times they are reindexed is decreased - until you're relegated dinosaur status. As your site becomes less relevant to the web surfing customer it gets referenced less and eventually you end up with a valueless Googledex. That is to say your ranking in the search engines slips to a worthless point.

Our philosophy is to allow you to add new content to your website using simple to use tools, in fact, tools simpler than Microsoft Word. If you're under resourced or feel this isn't an area you want to do in-house, we can create the product, industry or company specific news for you.
